It seemed he had woken up, whether that was by her or by something else. “I thought I heard some distant noise. Turns out I was right.”
    “Oh,” Stelle said flatly, not thinking she’d been loud enough for him to hear. Apparently, she had. “Hi, Mr. Yang.”"
