Kageyama Tobio despises parties.
They’re always far too crowded for his liking—his liking being a maximum of three people per room—and they’re always loud. The only loud noises he willingly tolerates are the sounds of sneakers squeaking against polished wood and the booming smack of a volleyball colliding with palms. To think he’d be used to the noise after being best friends with Hinata Shouyou for three years would be understandable yet foolish. Nobody, not a single person in the world, Tobio is convinced, will be used to Hinata Shouyou.

“C’mon, Bunny,” Kotetsu pouts, leaning against the back of the couch and looping his arms around Barnaby’s shoulders, careful not to disrupt his dinner. He drops his face in the crook of his partner’s neck and sighs, taking careful note of the way Barnaby’s shoulders tense when his breath ghosts over his skin. “Are you really going to keep ignoring me? Even now that we’re home?”
There is a brief stillness where he thinks that maybe, just maybe, Barnaby is going to crack. Then, he carefully lifts the fork to his mouth, not even acknowledging Kotetsu’s embrace aside from shifting his legs to better balance his plate on his thighs. It would have been too easy if he gave in now, Kotetsu knows that, and yet a part of him had maybe hoped that he would. He’d prefer a quiet night in with Barnaby, but he knows that this is all part of a game, a courtship of sorts.
And sure, maybe it’s not quite what he had wanted, but that doesn’t mean this path couldn’t be fun.

“All you gotta do is ask, Bunny,” he teases, dipping his fingers along the edge of Barnaby’s collarbone. “I’ll do whatever you want - as long as you use your voice.”
