Summary
After the championship game, after the Foxes’ spectacular win against the Ravens, after Riko’s death, Nicky and Erik steal some time alone in the showers where Erik proceeds to take Nicky apart. Later, they drive, just the two of them, to the house in Columbia. Next day, Erik takes Nicky apart a second time, with edging and teasing and breathplay, and the release of a lifetime.

“Have you considered the possibility that Neil has chosen you, but believes you have not chosen him?” Renee says. "Have you ever explicitly told him what you want?”
“Neil knows what I want,” Andrew snaps. This is not Andrew’s fault.
“How do you know?”
Because Neil always knows. He is as fluent in Andrew’s micro-expressions as he is in German and French. He knows which head tilts mean “go on” and which ones mean “shut up.” Without ever asking, he learned what it meant to see Andrew wearing double layers of long sleeves, or taking multiple showers in a day, and learned to hand Andrew the car keys.
That has always been the most terrifying thing about Neil — his patience to wait, watch, listen, learn. The prospect that if Neil were given enough time, there would be no part of Andrew that was just Andrew’s anymore.
“He has to know,” Andrew says.
“Does he?” Renee says. “Have you ever known Neil to assume that he is wanted?”
Five times Neil tells someone that he and Andrew aren’t dating, and one time Andrew uses his words to set the record straight.

"Thea won't even talk to me during our games. She's my backliner, for god's sake, and she won't even announce a pass to me! It's gonna hurt our game. I can't believe she would do this."
"You sound more worried about your season than your relationship," Jeremy teased. Everyone else listening knew Kevin was, in fact, more worried about their games than his marriage.
"Obviously. She could have dropped this on me in the off-season when we had time to deal with it. Why would she do this to me now? Coach has already noticed the change on the court, how would I explain this?"
"Easy," Jean cut in, voice irritated or distracted, it was hard to tell even after all these years. "Just do what she asked."
Kevin's face distorted in a way only Jean could elicit. "She didn't ask me to do anything."
"Are you saying you know Thea more than her husband does?" Jeremy tried again to keep the mood light, but Kevin needled at Jean as sharply as Jean did Kevin.
"No, I'm saying I know Kevin better than he knows himself. She said to get fucked, and that's what you need. You don't even realize you want it to be Jeremy, but I think any one of us would do."
