Jeremy chuckled, low and teasing, the vibrations of it rolling through Landon's back. His fingers flexed slightly against Landon’s throat, just a little squeeze—enough to make Landon sharply exhale, his grip on Jeremy’s wrist tightening in response.
Jeremy hummed out a pleased sound, his lips ghosting over Landon’s ear. "You sound so pretty when you’re frustrated, you know that?"
Landon scoffed, but the sound lost its edge from his unsteady breathing. "Just pretty?"
"You're gorgeous, baby." Jeremy rephrased with a chuckle.
Landon let out an appreciated huff, tilting his head just slightly, exposing more of his neck to Jeremy's wandering lips. "Better," he murmured, voice still laced with the remnants of his last breathless sigh.

"Yeah, what’s with all the yelling?" Remi squeezed his way through his cousins, getting further into the room.
"What’s this about Volkov?" It was Creigh’s question that made Brandon’s eyes snap to Landon’s, a small smirk of his own on his lips. He crossed his arms as well, stepping towards the others, and turning to face Landon.
"Yes, Landon, what’s this about Volkov?" Brandon repeated his cousin's question, a faux innocent look on his face as he tilted his head. Now all attention is on Landon.
Landon looked at his twin in betrayal, "Seriously?"
Brandon shook his head, looking confusingly at his brother. "I don’t know what you mean, dear brother, maybe it’ll help if you explain it to the rest of the family?" he suggested, fighting down the smirk he wanted to show.
Landon seethed silently.

It takes six days, seven hours and 32 minutes. Not that she’s counting.
She gets an email while she’s watching Gordon Ramsay smash someone’s undercooked salmon with his fist. This weirdly is the only thing that’s been making her laugh lately and she’s taking what she can get in the joy department.
It’s a no subject email of course because this whole thing has been shifty and shady to begin with. Syd opens it anyway.
"Hi. I saw your ad on Douglas that you needed a partner for your catering business. I haven’t really done catering before to be honest but I’ve worked at a couple of spots and I think I could be a help. Let me know if this works for you and maybe we could meet and talk some more. I’ll leave my number, feel free to call or text me."
And someone must be messing with Sydney. This must be some big prank and whoever the fucking host of Punk’d is now is waiting under her bed with his gotcha bitch! because the email is signed Carmen Berzatto.

“So where ya taking me?”
“You’ll find out.”
“But what about my outfit?” Her faces scrunches in concern as a million thoughts flash before her eyes.
“I picked it.”
“What about my hair? What if it's too much and it gets in the way?” She was wearing boho braids and although she really liked them they were not always practical, if their date was going to involve cooking.
“Your hair is perfect, baby. Just be quiet for once. Let me take care of you.” He holds her by the shoulders so she’s forced to gaze in his direction.
“Carmen.” She looks at him with her bottom lip pushed out in petulance.
“I’m serious Sydney. You are always doing so much for everyone else. You’re mine to spoil. Plus Natalie and Tina threatened me.”
They had been caught up in work lately. Not spending as much time together outside of the kitchen that they needed to in order to build a relationship that was more than just mutual interest in their work. They moved in together to pursue this more easily. But owning and running a functional kitchen took a lot out of them emotionally and physically.
