Steve clears his throat, looks down at his shoes.
Eddie kind of dances from side to side, ducks down to recapture Steve's gaze. “And by that- I mean- cereal shopping with Steve ‘the hair’ Harrington while he apologises on behalf of high school jocks everywhere.”

Eddie blinks.

Eddie stares at her dumbly. Then-

“I’ll- delete that, then,” he laughs nervously. “Before-”
“Before someone picks up on it, screenshots it, begins distributing it across the internet at a frankly alarming pace and starts a series of hashtags up in an effort to find the ‘pretty boy’ gardener you were lusting over?”---
Eddie is a burnt-out-overworked-crash-and-burn-rockstar with a crippling twitter addiction. Steve is a chronically-offline-homegrown-indiana-boy-flowershop-owner with a green thumb and a penchant for taking in strays.
So naturally when Eddie first sees him, he's head over heels. And Steve has no clue what his day job is.

Summary
He writes D&D campaigns, helps his uncle with chores, smokes weed in his buddy Gareth’s garage and does his best to forget about the god of a man living at 29 Cornwallis.
It sort of works.
Until it doesn’t.
But it’s not Eddie’s fault that the man himself comes quietly into the library, stepping up to the desk Eddie’s sat behind with his back to the door and his feet propped up on a chair, engrossed in a book.

Eddie can't stop driving past 29 Cornwallis just to get a glimpse of the most attractive man he's ever seen. He's resigned to always looking from afar, until the man himself walks straight into Hawkins library where Eddie's working.
