A shitty head of red hair pops up from a dogpile of boys at the forty yard line and then ‘Kirishima’ is jogging over with a dumb grin plastered across his face. ‘Kirishima’ as in Eijirou Kirishima, quarterback and football fucking captain, which is as bad as they come. He sucks, basically, and represents everything wrong in this world.

God, she was so fucking mad at herself. How could she have been so stupid?
And what's even worse, she'd dragged Dylan in to die with her. Dylan, who got his fucking hand cut off and was suffering from blood loss and probably shock, but still managed to save her life back at the scrapyard.
And now it's all going to be for nothing, just because Kaitlyn didn't take a quick second to make sure the door didn't latch.

i’m so hard rnRyan’s phone does slip out of his hands and hits him in the face. He picks it back up with a groan, and deletes the unbelievably eloquent “jbkj” his nose managed to type upon contact. Squinting, he reads the message sitting patiently on his screen once, twice, five times in as row, just in case he’s too delirious to put the letters in the right order.
As his eyes trace over the words for the sixth time, Ryan sucks in a breath. That is exactly what it says. Okay. He can be normal about that.
