Summary
This is a short story I made for a school project, and I really like it. It’s my take on the “Reluctant Hero” trope. Instead of the character getting over their reluctance, their reluctance leads to a mistake, which leads way for another character to be the hero.
Another way to interpret this story, is the reluctant hero isnt the main character, but the side character who become the hero(i didn’t intentionally write it like that)

UPDATE: Ya so you know how in the tags it says "i'm not giving up however". Well I'm giving up. I started this fic in my freshmen year of high school, and now I'm going into my junior year. I low-key forgot this fic existed, because I go to super competetive school and got wrapped up in school-work. I recently remembered this fic and Harry Potter just really isn't my thing anymore. I'm not gonna force myself to write something I'm not interested in, so I probably won't be continuing this fic.
