while not marked as complete and there can be further roads to walk ahead of them, the characters have already gone through so many iterations of progress, of the slow unveiling of each others flaws and acts of martyrdom, that this is already a thoroughly satisfying story. serious and solemn at times, but humourous and light at others. the perfect balance

chapter 3 is the best smut I’ve read in fiction, holy moly. PWL, porn with love
liked this para from the last chapter, that explains Kanthony hand scene in the study. a quiet moment of subtle intimacy that had to have a source,was explained so well here:
She squeezed his hand again before she began toying with his fingers, weaving and twisting her own fingers around his. It was a habit they had both picked up in their courtship, as a way for them to be close and show some amount of affection without drawing (too many) disapproving looks from their chaperones.
