Summary
I liked the original and I originally liked the Live Action but upon rewatch, I wasn't satisfied with the story. I'm writing this to explore how the changes they made created a less cohesive story. Everything is wrong with the Beauty and the Beast Live Action remake. The movie does a cheap job of justifying its own existence. This is a movie made to fix surface level complaints about the original movie. These changes were not only unnecessary but fundamentally ruin their characters, the arcs, and their motivations. The creators added new songs, character traits, and scenes that were intended to improve upon the original but intend create larger problems.
