Summary
Eliza and Austin are happy. They both have well paying jobs, they are in love and they have a beautiful house. Is there anything more that they could ask for ? Well apparently, they should have asked for neither of them to prematurely die. Eliza knows he is going to die. The parasite in his brain is slowly killing him. All he wants is to spend some time with his darling now. Austin, however, refuses to accept that fact. He knows he can find a cure and he will do anything to succeed. Even if it means hurting other people.

“What hurts?” Oswald asked absently, turning to bypass him, finding himself blocked by Edward.
Edward's expression went softer, belying whatever flippancy he'd displayed before. “Rejection.”
