“Ahem,” Phoenix cleared his throat, apparently having recovered quicker than Trucy. Phoenix had no particular love for gossip, but even he could recognize Apollo’s bad mood, and relented. “No we don’t, tell us?”

Summary
Apollo couldn't care less about his soulmark— there's his burgeoning career at Gavin Law Offices to worry about, his looming student debt to pay off and his beloved cat Mikeko to care for. So when he unwillingly attends The Gavinners' concert and discovers the origin of his soulmark, it throws him for a complete loop.
Klavier has been dreaming of his soulmark for his whole life— between The Gavinners' multi-platinum albums and his high-flying legal career, of course. But when his soulmark finally arrives, so does the realization that his brother Kristoph has been up to no good. It's down to Klavier to right the wrongs the broken legal system has allowed— with some help from unexpected places.

“Mia tells me that you’re undefeated. Must be boring for you,” Apollo states somewhat acerbically, still doing that cool-guy lean against his car. Klavier has to admit, he cuts a good figure against the cherry red Mazda, all colour-matching like that. His antagonization is clear as day though— they’re officially in shittalk territory.
Feeling his competitive spirit prickle beneath his skin, Klavier covers with a shrug and pushes a hand through his hair. “Oh, not really. A king’s meant for his throne, after all,” he says coolly. He taps the hood of his own gorgeous car. It is his ultimate flex at the end of the day.
Apollo scoffs humorlessly. The grin on his face is decidedly smug. “Good thing my name’s Apollo, then.”
Klavier looks over at the other man, letting his lips curl and his eyes glitter dangerously. He idly remembers that dialogue can bite. “If only gods were real.”

She’s in her customary seat overlooking the palace lily pond, and in her lilac housecoat and elaborate braids, she could very well be a flower herself. “Your former rival from America is visiting the country, and you don’t know how long for, and you want to spend time with him before he leaves, but also— you don’t? Because you… like him?”
Apollo knows how it sounds, but she’s actually grasped it quite quickly. “Uh, yep. Pretty much.” He hides his face behind his teacup.

Her gaze flicks immediately to Lu Guang's face, trying to gauge him. He looks completely unruffled.
There's no way he was reading this— his eyes were definitely glowing! She almost never gets to see him use his powers, and here he is, just casually glowing it up? Why would he ever use his powers without Cheng Xiao Shi? He was completely, 100%, no doubt looking at a picture, she'd bet her life on it. And that tells her something else—
Lu Guang is hiding something.

Summary
