Summary
The revelation of Loki's origins, as a child of Laufey, the King of the Jotunns, shifted Loki's identity and made him question his place in Asgard. He had never truly felt like he belonged to Odin's throne, and his father had never seen him as a true heir. Loki's anger and frustration grew, and he left Odin's chambers in confusion. He wanted answers and to figure out who he truly was.
Loki's transformation was shocking, as he quietly and swiftly took control of Asgard. Frigga, a compassionate figure, told him that it was time for him to take the crown. The council was unsettled, as Loki had never been considered a true heir and had little connection to Asgard's noble bloodlines. Instead, Loki focused on reform, reshaping Asgard away from Odin's militaristic rule. Art, magic, and diplomacy flourished under his reign, and the lower classes found their voices. Loki's transformation was a turning point in the story of Asgard and the world.

Before his first battle, Loki cast a spell to ensure that, if he died, he would be brought back to life in a safe place in the body he had at the time of casting. He didn’t find a way to keep his memories intact, so after he survived the battle he discarded the plan as a childish impulse. If he thought about the spell at all over the next several centuries, he assumed that it had never worked, or had lost its power.
Then a young Loki woke up on—was this really Midgard?
