Summary
In the last twelve or so weeks of knowing him, Jason had come to realise a few things about Prime.
One: Superboy Prime was a talker.
“—I don’t get why they haven’t just gotten them married yet.” He waves his hand to the side, eyes squinted. A fleck of tomato sauce hits Jason’s cheek. His eyebrow twitches. “And who gives a crap about Paul? No one does, Jason. No one.”
Two: Superboy Prime acted eerily familiar with him— he had been since their first meet.
“I’m kinda behind, though, being here and all. So maybe they got rid of the guy by now. What’d you think, Jason?”
Jason rolled his head, deliberately reaching towards Prime’s Zesti Cola. Their hands brush. Prime flinches. It’s more of a twitch, really. Minute. Anyone less trained than Jason would’ve missed it.
Jason glanced up at him through his eyelashes. No one, however, could miss how red his pointed ears got.
And last, but not least: Superboy Prime was severely touch starved.

“Is he dead?” Ace wondered aloud. He didn’t seem to be breathing or all that hard at the very least. The two of them tiled their heads in sync. “Because those weird splotches all over his body make me think so.”
“They probably have something to do with the few poisonous mushrooms that are all over the jungle,” he poked at the kid with his pipe, squinting his good eye. “Seeing as he’s got a few crushed in his hands.”

Summary
The muted sounds of the rough waves seeped in through the walls, a constant background noise. If he got lucky his ears would be able to pick up the sound of the multitude of marine animals as they lived their lives just past the walls of their submersible.
The temperature also tended to be on the lower side.
In the night and in the safety of their rooms, with multiple heated blankets, sweaters and jumpers, as well as built in heaters easily fixed this issue. Even as a bit of cold somehow still slipped into all of the other surroundings.
This was not the environment he awoke to.
