"It’s raining. It would be easy to say it’s pouring, but that implies it’s falling down from the sky. No, the rain is blowing sideways. Daron feels it pelting his skin and body as if it were hail, even from under the roof of the porch. He wants to be inside. It’s a natural desire everyone is born with; to be sheltered from the elements."
A short relationship study I wrote while brainstorming. Can be interpreted as slash if you really want, but it wasn't my intention.

The burning in Jay’s face is enough to make him itchy. He can’t identify the emotion behind it. It’s indignation and it’s mortification and it’s a new word ending in -ation no one has ever felt in history before called ‘Matt is talking about having a shitty girlfriend and that’s me’. He keeps his tight fists at his sides and his jaw clenched and Matt holds his gaze but he breathes like Jay just sent him for a race. And maybe Jay wants a race now.
It's 2008. Matt's a little bit drunk. Jay's a little bit high.

Summary
In many occasions Daron would be in some corner, wearing one of Serj’s or Shavo’s baggy shirts or sweaters that would reach Daron mid thigh or even lower. He hoped he was wearing shorts under those, but he was quite afraid that was not the case. He’d follow the boys around with his eyes that would stare at Daron with hungry looks and he could relate as he tried not to do the same.
Some sadness would fill his lungs up like water as he knew none of the guys would ever look at him like that. He was too big, too awkward, his face too wide, too unattractive. His eyes weren’t near as expressive as Daron’s, his mind wasn’t close as brilliant, his spirit not near as artistic, fingers nowhere close being as talented. John was… just John, and there was no way around it.
OR: The one where John is deeply in love with his band mates, but doesn't see that they love him back.
