As she struggles to remain undiscovered by her new peers, Vulpes Inculta, the man who was responsible for the attack, takes a special interest in her for reasons she doesn't yet know.
(I stared an earlier version of this fic with the same name about a year ago but decided to overhaul it, including adding Vulpes's POV!)
