The elf snapped his head up to face Cole. He looked more tired than he’d ever had in Varric’s or Hawke’s minds—the cold wind making ruddy skin on his cheeks and ears. He handled a knife, now, his grip paling to white like the snow.
“Who are you?” the elf said.
“I am Cole. And you… are Fenris,” Cole said. He cocked his head to the side, tasting the name for the first time in his own mouth. “It sounded better when Hawke said it.”

They had this routine down for months. Months of instant noodles and convenience store bento under the incessant fluorescent lights. The entirety of their friendship had taken place in the confines of those walls, sitting in metal chairs and leaning on the plastic table in the far corner of the store. There was something about the time of night, the feeling of the lonely street, and the routine of it all that made it hard for Jisung to lie to Minho. It was like all the pretense didn’t matter, or never mattered. Here they were, two souls crossing paths, seeing each other in the dark.

Summary
It was just supposed to be happiness, but something else twisted in his gut as he watched them together. The rush of anxiety, that awful poison, took hold of him. Summary
Since debut, Minho learned that Jisung was a romantic. He talked about soulmates the same way he wrote his lyrics, trapped somewhere between drama and heartbreaking truth. That was something they couldn’t have. Their careers were fragile things, just now feeling the edges of success. He couldn’t ruin those things for Jisung, who hung on to these fantasies of love at first sight.

“I’m just curious,” Jisung insists. He fidgets on the bed, pressing harder against the cool wall at his back. The words feel wrong in his mouth, like chewing on grains of sand. Like a lie. “Can't a guy be curious about his friends' sex lives?”
Changbin flicks his forehead with aggression that Jisung thinks is wholly unwarranted. “You deserved that,” Changbin informs him and smiles, an awful, knowing smile that makes Jisung instantly uneasy. “Is that what's eating at you, that you’ve never had Minho-hyung like that? Being his self-proclaimed soulmate and favourite person in the world isn’t enough, is it? You want all of him to yourself.” Changbin tsks, wagging a finger at him. “Greedy, greedy Hannie.”
