He cannot see the face that Richard is making due to the obscured view, but discerns from the pressure of Richard's hips against his own that Richard is not in his right mind. Christoph is overwhelmed by the pheromones emanating from Richard, which has enveloped him entirely, leaving his senses dulled and unable to fully focus.
