Summary
Steve spends the next couple of hours killing time, watching TV with Sam and Nat. He wants to run. He wants to pace. He want to slip his skin and lay out on the porch of the guest cabin so Bucky knows he’s safe. He can’t do any of those things, so he watches a documentary about caribou migration and chews the shit out of the side of his thumb instead. Every time his leg starts to jiggle, Nat stops it with a fingertip.
Their presence helps, well, at least it stops him from doing something batshit.
Steve’s checking the time again when the sound of panicked yelling has him up and out the door in the blink of an eye, the door flies open at the same time Steve pulls at it, Bucky wide eyed and terrified and pushing the door shut- “Steve there’s a fuckin’ wolf out there!”

Now Clint is retiring and the team needs a sniper, so Coulson decides to release an asset who's been doing a lot better lately. Steve never knew Bucky back in Brooklyn, but finds himself drawn to him in a way he's never really been drawn to anyone before. But dark forces within S.H.I.E.L.D. could spell disaster for Bucky before he even gets to enjoy his new freedom.

Steve has a huge celebrity crush on Bucky.
He has seen all his films, read and watched and memorised all the interviews and maybe even saved a couple of photos on his phone that he’ll never admit to.
Now, he has to keep his cool while Bucky sits in front of him, in an open-collared shirt, adjusting a Cartier watch and brushing his fingers (and that ring) against his face in poses that were already going to test Steve’s professionalism.
And it's going to lead to a very unique and challenging journey for Steve, as he'd be trying to live a normal life, but everything always seem to bring him back to Bucky, one way or another...
