    Summary

He smiled softly at his new mark – it was a bunny wearing an absurdly long scarf. The bunny was sleeping, with its ears back, and looked very content wrapped up in the long scarf. Or was the bunny tangled? Either way, the bunny didn’t seem upset about it, if the way it was happily napping was any indication.

Shouta traced the bunny and the scarf with his finger and couldn’t keep the smile off his face. All his life, he’d been told no one would ever want him, that the universe itself was showing him that he was unlovable by not giving him a soulmate, he was markless, and a villain at that. A markless villain, no one would ever want him, no one would ever love him. But here it was, the proof that there was someone out there who could love him, would love him. He wasn’t markless after all.

Shouta was just barely aware of the fact that he had tears streaming down his face as he traced his new Soulmark. Even if the 15-year age gap meant they were going to be his soul kid and not a romantic partner, Shouta would still have the love of one person. He would have preferred a romantic bond, but so long as he was able to find his soulmate, the type of bond was not important.

    Summary

It is a common myth that soulmates have to be lovey dovey and romantic. A myth that has been fed and nurtured since humanity’s dawn by legends, tales, stories, and in the current world, movies. The reality is sometimes different though, in the way that reality often is.

Unfortunately when you have someone raised on stories intermixed with traumatic conditioning to be a legendary hero, their ideas can be a little… Off.

Hughie Campbell is the poor sap living with the results of this in Homelander.

Somehow in between Vought, the press, the Boys, and the kidnapping thing, Hughie becomes the adult his soulmate and his self absorbed team of supes needed to be a family

    Summary

Homelander didn't have a soulmate, of that he was certain. At this point he wasn't entirely convinced he even had a soul.

He had wondered quietly, just to himself, what it would be like. To truly connect with another person, to love someone, and be loved in return. They said the love shared by soulmates was unlike any other, and Homelander knew his deepest desire was to be loved.

But he didn't dwell on it. He was a god after all, what did a god need with the love of just one human when he was adored by so many?

So it didn't occur to him what the strange pull he felt was. Why he felt he needed to be in that hallway at that time, but as a gangly and nervous looking young man turned a corner and met his eyes, his whole world shifted.

    Summary

Hughie has only glimpsed Supe kids. Stillwell’s kid and Ryan, who's always looked more like Becca than Homelander. Which is kinda funny. If anything, it’s John who looks more like Homelander, practically a spitting image—

Hughie’s hand freezes. Blond strands spilling between his fingers. He takes a second look at John.

No. There's no way. Impossible. But how many Supes with x-ray vision and super-hearing can there be?

What's she like? She a good fuck?

“Oh god.” Hughie tears himself away, scrambles to his feet. A cherubic face, eyes closed in sleep, hiding blue eyes Hughie has realized he's seen before.

    More incentive? Okay.

You kill him or I'll fucking kill you both.

    — OR —
After getting a big ugly signature on his cast, Hughie is sent stone-skipping across time and Homelander’s life. He did not fucking sign up for this.

Contains time-travel, a whole lotta copium, and Hughie’s inability to abandon anybody. Slight Canon Divergence from Season 3

    Summary

The room looks like a cell.

Too clean. Too white. A simulation of comfort. Yet, enclosed in a kind of glass box, too big to hold a bed and a few basic things: it's a complete room with a metal door.

And in the centre, sitting in a simple chair, is a man.
At first, Conner thinks he is an employee. A technician. Someone who angered his father enough to end up locked up.

Then the man raises his head. His eyes — blue, intense — open with a mixture of surprise and something more dangerous.

    Recognition.
