There is no discernable reason for them to be that long, to curl way beyond any wearer's hair, far down their back and almost touching the ground – or, as is currently the case since Lan Xichen is sitting beside him, to pool on the brushed tiles of the terrace, tantalizingly close to Jin Guangyao's hand.
Or: Jin Guangyao has never been particularly good at resisting temptations when he thinks he can get away with it.
