Summary
A few weeks after the events of Reaching Out, Luz and her friends discover something strange has been happening on The Boiling Isles lately. Shops are being broken into and robbed during the night and members of The Emperor's Coven have been seen searching the forest for something or someone during the day. So when Luz spots a couple of guards in the woods on her way home from school she decides to follow them to see if she can find out what exactly they are looking for. Her plan works and she soon makes a shocking discovery.
