Summary
After the Red Ring’s attack, Courtney and Robert are left to face the part of heroism no one cheers for—the aftermath. Injuries, secrets, and close calls force them to confront feelings they can’t joke away or outrun. As their partnership begins to shift into something deeper, the pressure of saving a city that never stops needing them threatens to pull them apart before they’ve even figured out what they are.
Together, they’ll have to learn how to carry the weight of their pasts, lean on each other in times of need, and decide if the cost of being a hero is worth it.

Summary
Later in the evening following Shroud’s defeat, Robert and Courtney grab tacos for dinner. Then get up to a bunch of other wholesome activities like meeting the Z team for celebratory drinks and fucking. Things get a little domestic. Mecha Man takes his place at the head of the Z team while the last vestiges of the Red Ring accept a dangerous offer for a chance at revenge. Malevola confronts her past. Visi pushes herself to be more. Robert tries to solve a mystery. Golem learns painful truths.
Post-Canon Epilogue to help cope until s2 formerly titled “embarassing” because it started as a 1shot fluff scene of the same name and morphed into more of my interpretation of the post-canon story.
It’s gotten a bit out of hand with the world building but it’s a lot of fun to write.

Summary
A year into their relationship, Robert and Courtney are thriving, for the most part, with a shared home, stable careers, and mostly positive publicity. As the Phoenix Program grows, new faces and new challenges begin to appear.
Sometimes being a hero means becoming someone who would have protected you when you needed it. Sometimes facing the past is the only way to heal from it. And sometimes a family can be a college dropout with powers she can't control, her Emotional Support Couple, and an overweight chihuahua.
Sequel to my series "Our Own Normal," but you don't necessarily need to have read that.
