Summary
As with most tumultuous experiences in his life, it was all Narancia’s fault.
It started when he’d been laying on Fugo’s bed, uninvited as usual. His radio playing quietly beside him as Fugo poured over his collection of novels at his desk. He had a bookshelf, of course, but kept his favourites in an easier to access place. It made it more convenient for moments like these when he needed to find a particular copy.
“Hey,” He said, the rhythmic pattering of him throwing and catching a ball in the air a comforting background sound. “When’d you know you had a crush on someone?”
Or:
Pannacotta Fugo has it all: power, wealth, friends. Now, he must face his most difficult challenge of all: a huge embarrassing adolescent crush.

They’re seventeen, the two of them, and they should be doing homework, sleeping in until noon, playing console games until their eyes burn. They should be eating junk food and making bad decisions, drinking cheap beer, rolling their eyes at their parents just for the fun of it.
In other words, they shouldn’t be here, risking their lives on an asinine quest across the globe to fight a vampire with a stand in Egypt.

Giorno, the startings of a grin twitching at the corner of his mouth, extends his hand across the table. He’s careful, keeping the movement slow and methodical. “Giorno Giovanna,” He states, showing Fugo his palm. He wonders if Fugo’s hand is as cold as it looks.

“What the hell?” Johnny asked quietly.
Gyro responded at full volume. “What?”
“This place is crazy,” said Johnny unintelligently, unable to say anything more.
“I knew you’d like it,” hummed Gyro. From every box—every small society—emanated a murmuring undercurrent of talk and rustling fabrics. The air was warm and humid. Gyro leaned back in his seat, legs spread, flushed and content, compelling Johnny to think of himself surrounded by his strong thighs.
“Didn’t say that.” Johnny slanted his body over to whisper in Gyro’s ear, drunkenly, “It’s gonna be boring.”
“All right,” Gyro whispered back, compliant, but smug. “Sure.”
