Summary
When it happens, he doesn't realize anything has changed. When it happens, he is already so consumed by the Force within the vergence that his logical, critical faculties have been overrun. When it happens, he is running purely on emotional instinct.
When it happens he is fighting with Obi-Wan.
Not about anything “important”. Not about anything upon which the tide of war would hinge. Not about ensuring the security of the galaxy. Nothing like that.
When it happens, they are fighting about them. Or rather, Anakin is fighting about them – where they stand after years of stolen affection interspersed with cold distance, and Obi-Wan is shutting it down, again and again, attempting to shift focus back to their mission.
The last thing he remembers before it happens is sending a silent cry out to the Force, releasing to it the yearning in his heart with a prayer of reciprocation. Then darkness.

OR Anakin gets isekaied to an alternate reality with soap opera shenanigans, and even more strange, an Obi-Wan that's into him.

“I think he wants to touch you now,” Quinlan says to Anakin softly, and he makes a surprised little sound.
“He does?” Anakin says disbelievingly, looking back up at Quinlan.
“Yes, I’ve hardly ever seen him look so desperate,” Quinlan says to him, sneaking another look at him, and Obi-Wan supposes that is true. “Can he join, baby?” Anakin’s answer is immediate.
(Or, Quinlan gets Obi-Wan and Anakin together by way of a threesome.)
