Summary
Despite all appearances and what he would’ve really, really preferred to happen, The Lamplighter did not die on that suicide mission.
In the aftermath of his suicide, what remains of The Seven’s very own firestarter is taken, studied, and finally repurposed. Vought does not resurrect him so much as suspend him in an awful state between life and death, breathing without living.
Given how things hardly go to plan under the supervision of Vought, shadows begin to gather where they shouldn’t, stretching in directions that don’t match any light source. Almost as if correlated, the more Lamplighter is made to endure, the more those shadows thicken. Buried beneath layers of alien voices and borrowed power, there lingers the faintest suggestion that he is aware of what he has become.
