Summary
Once where this kingdom stood, magic thrived. It has been a long time since those days. Such powers have been beaten back, forced to be forgotten by the man who now calls himself kill. Magic is for those in power. Any who dislike these laws can take their chances in the wilds where vicious dragons still rule.
One of the few people within the kingdom to be allowed to use magic is Sonja, ward of the king. Not only is she allowed, but she is encouraged and expected to learn. However, the more she learns, the more rituals and spells she has found require ingredients unavailable within her kingdom’s borders. To get her hands on them, she finds herself seeking out a smuggler who she didn’t realise she would get quite so attached to.

Her resting place and prison far beneath the sands of deep in the desert is guarded to this day by those sworn to ensure she never be released, no matter the cost.
Four thousand years later, a seemingly innocent relic leads Capsize and Redbeard to discover a map to the ancient city of Hamunaptra that’s said to hold all the riches of the ancient kings and the legendary Book of Life. Alongside Sonja, the soldier who originally found the relic before having it stolen from her, the two make it their mission to find the ancient city.
Unbeknownst to them, this journey is far more dangerous than they ever could’ve imagined, and their pursuits may doom not only themselves but the entire world.

Summary
Capsize had her reservations about entering the Nether that day in the first place. She could've so easily just left her brother and the champions to their plan and stayed in the overworld, though that was not truly an option. As she finds herself facing Furia, she sincerely wishes she had taken it anyway.
A single change in the scenario, a simple pull from behind, saves her live. Ending in the cost of another.
