Incredible blog. Fundamental to how I view Battat in general and Friendpins possession in particular. A long read, but a worthwhile one. Story takes a bit to pick up, but once he starts mentioning the goop or seeing a cat, and then the first possession happens, you'll get hooked.

The dialogue on this page was originally intended to debut in the UNDERTALE Alarm Clock, an app that would have served as the vehicle for various humorous monologues from the characters. Development on the app has halted due to various circumstances, including asking the app developer to help with the development of DELTARUNE instead.
So, rather than have the dialogue gather dust, I have taken an excerpt and rewritten it for display here.

It's hard to get a wordcount for this, but there are 486 total dialogue boxes, and assuming an average of 7 words per box, the estimated wordcount is 3.4k.
This is a lovely read, especially around the holiday season. So many bits of characterization and development. It's nice to see how everyone is doing on the surface. And it gives us a lot of insight into the past (Asgore and Rudy, Flowey and Toriel during his resets, and even Chara's habits and how they rubbed off on the Dreemurs). And I'm always a fan of Flowey and Papyrus friendship.
It feels absurd to say that this has really accurate characterization, considering it's Toby Fox himself who wrote this, but still. The character dynamics were spot on. Highly recommend rereading this if it's been a while.

The more he tries to tug it out, the deeper it burrows, until it spreads like an infection that can’t be cut out, rotting him from the inside.

(Or; the whole Mike ruse meant there could never be any real reciprocation in matters of the lascivious. That is, if Battat even wanted there to be any in the first place. What does he need a thing like that for?)

Everyone absorbed that for a moment. “Hallway junctions have better or worse directions?” Echo asked.
Hevy snorted. “Only if there’s a long-neck in one direction.”

Summary
Fox dies.
Except he doesn’t, because as soon as the creepy Sith ritual drains the last of the blood from his body, he wakes up…somewhere. Somewhere else, where, for once, he can’t feel the Emperor’s claws digging into his head every hour of the cycle.
Unfortunately, this somewhere else is so deep in the middle of nowhere that he gets picked up by a mandalorian—some asshole called Montross who quickly proves that he’d be more helpful dead, especially once Fox finds out that this shabuir wants to sell him off to the Kyr’tsad. In a final bid for freedom, Fox disposes of his would-be captor, commandeers his ship, and goes on the run from the man’s terrorist Kyr’tsad friends and his weird Haat Mando’ad coworkers.
…until the weird coworkers finally catch up to Fox.
Or: upon his death, Fox is thrown several decades into the past, lands in Mandalore’s backyard, gets himself adopted, and (mostly intentionally) alters the course of the galaxy.
Oh, and he isn’t the only vod to get tossed through time and space.

really really good. the moments in between the battles, the bond that the clones share, finding comfort in each other because they have no one else. except kenobi, in this fic, who really is one of them. i liked that torrent got beskar'gam. and of course, the battles themselves. no man left behind, an incredible streak of no deaths. just this once, everyone lives.

To celebrate the opening of a new wing to the casino, Q booked out the hotel for a dinner party with his main crew.
Dream watches from an unsafe distance as the Las Nevadas gang poorly hashes out their problems, resulting in one of them getting mysteriously killed. Dream may not care for them, but he doesn't like being blamed for something he didn't do, and takes it upon himself to find the murderer before he finds himself back in Pandora's Vault.

!!! really really good fic ! a subversion of the hanahaki trope. i like non-romantic versions of romantic tropes, but this fic takes it one step further and expands the idea of what you can love, what 'counts' as love for something like hanahaki.
