Summary
It had been three months since the events of Windrixville and Ponyboy was taking it day by day. He couldn’t think deeply about most things anymore, but after an embarrassing problem arises, a stubborn thought won’t leave his mind. An unconventional coping mechanism that Pony hates is helping him.
His brothers and the gang don’t quite understand but they would give anything to get their old Ponyboy back. Pony would give anything to still stay tuff in their eyes.

“I got something on my face or some shit?” Tommy bit out at Wilbur, cutting Philza off with little care. He’d be lucky to get beaten by him right in front of Sam because then they’d finally fucking leave.
For a second he expected Wilbur not to respond, but then his eyes widened like he realized what he’d been doing before it was back to a blank stare. “Your face is all fucked up.” He said simply.
“Wilbur.” Philza hissed, and Tommy could see from the corner of his eye as Techno rapidly brought the book back up to his face.

Tommy is a notorious foster kid no one is sure what to do with. When Phil signs up to foster again, he wasn’t prepared for a kid to be dropped off on his doorstep so soon, one with that extensive of a record to his name. Techno and Wilbur do their best to be good (foster) brothers, but Tommy is a bit different than what they expected.
And Tommy just wants a break, but can't seem to catch one with the weird ass family he's being fostered by, and somewhere along the way begrudgingly starts to care.

Truthfully, Orpheus knew this was stupid, even for him.
But he really wanted some of those muffins that Siren had brought to their last meeting, and he couldn’t be bothered to change for one measly child.
I mean, the kid in front of him couldn’t have been more than seventeen.
So he watched, waiting for a reaction that never came, and Tommy tilted his head with furrowed brows.
“Are you going to order, or just stare at me until we close?”

Tommy is complacent in his life. He's got a job with people he trusts, a sort-of-brother, and enough money to manage on his own when they age out of the system. He's doing perfectly fine for himself, thank you very much, and he doesn't need the sort of family that this Phil guy keeps trying to offer him.
Or, Tommy heals a villain and has to deal with the consequences of his actions.
