    "So, maybe you've found your home here in Gotham. At least it's not that far, compared to Kansas." Bruce's voice is smooth and steady, his tone low.

    It's hard to keep a straight face at that.

    Clark's lips curve into a fond smile as he chuckles and shakes his head, leaning back against his seat, a hand rubbing across the nape of his neck.

    "Yeah. Maybe I have. The coffee's great here. And the company is really nice." Clark offers a smile as he meets Bruce's eyes, holding his gaze for a beat too long before returning it to his pie.

    He doesn't miss the way Bruce's heart rate stutters at his comment.

    Or, Clark Kent can't do one night stands, and Bruce is just his usual human disaster.

    “It is!” Clark cried, folding his hands over the table. “All about you, Mr. Wayne, as most things tend to be. Does that mean I get to ask more questions?”
    Bruce gave up trying to force his face back into a frown, and kept a bemused quirk on his lips when looking at the other man.
    “Sure,” he relented. “Why not?”

    Bruce was quiet for a long moment, his fingers drumming against the arm of his chair. "I'd have to check with our legal department about the specific timeline."

    "So you don't know?"

    Bruce was silent.
