louis stands up from his seat and presses his chest against harry's, his eyes filled with rage while maintaining a calm demeanor. despite louis being a few inches shorter than harry, he still feels like louis is towering over him. "I don't know what kind of sick shit you're trying to pull but you better just walk away right now." louis warns, his gaze flickers down to harry's bitten ruby red lips. "nothing."
"fine." harry said dryly, defeated as salty tears begin to well up in his emerald green eyes. "say hi to your dad for me." he adds, letting a single droplet fall from his eye and slip down his cheek.

The thing about Mello is that when he’s on, he’s on. It’s not the leather or the hair or the eyes or the body, even, it’s just him. Something about him radiates this authority - when Matt was a kid he thought Mello was scary, but that’s not really it. It’s the confidence, he thinks. Mello knows what he wants and knows how to get it.

Summary
Mello squeezed him as hard as he could despite his injuries. Matt nestled into the crook of Mello’s neck and could smell the scent of shampoo in his hair. He felt the rough texture of his bandages on his fingertips, and he could hear Mello’s slow, soft breathing.
“You’re fucking crazy.”
“I know.”
“You’re fucking crazy, and I can’t watch you die like this.”
“I... know.”
He’d so much more he wanted to say to him, so much more that he knew Mello wouldn’t really accept. He’d wanted to tell him that he wasn’t nothing, that that he meant so much to him and that he loved him. But the words were wedged in his throat and he didn’t think it’d hold any weight for anything meaningful. He sighed; this was the toxic pattern they’d always fall into during the past few days.
Or Matt struggles to find his meaning after the events of the explosion, albeit trying to mend the pieces of his and Mello's relationship.

Summary
Mello had a rough past, and no one even fully knows it. He belongs exclusively to the Los Angeles mafia, the largest syndicate in California with more partner bases than any other. The Russian blond was hand picked by the boss, himself and dragged from New York to L.A after a shitstorm with a rival syndicate.
Matt doesn't have anyone. He hacks to keep himself busy and ignores the world with his games. Now, he belongs to Mello and tails him to Atlanta, Georgia on a mission lead by the blond, himself. But, he's not all he claims to be, and it seems Mello has a new private agenda that could get them both killed.

"Matt writes a song. Maybe it sounds good, maybe it doesn’t, and he sings it a couple of times while he’s in the bathtub until someone banging on the ceiling from the apartment directly beneath him tells him to either shut the fuck up or he’ll come up there and do it for him.
Matt sings it one more time.
Mello’s cool.
Mello’s pretty.
He dries his hair until it’s just less than dripping, slides into a fresh change of clothes and his beat up denim jacket, and he’s out through the fire escape."
