Summary
Robby had just settled his glasses on his nose after doing handoff with Jack so that he could finish up his backlog of charts and go home at a somewhat reasonable hour when Santos stepped up to the corner of his desk with her arms crossed and something approximating a scowl on her face.
“Can I… help you?” Robby asked, slightly unnerved by the sudden appearance and honestly weird fucking energy that he was getting from his intern. But then again, he was often unnerved by Santos. She had this very abrupt, abrasive way about her most of the time, like she had a chip on her shoulder and was terrified of anyone ever seeing that minuscule crack in her armor, but then she could pivot seemingly out of nowhere to be incredibly open and compassionate.
“Whitaker is graduating next week,” Santos said in that clipped tone that she had. Like this was information that Robby should have already been aware of and she was irritated at having to be the one to give it to him. -

Summary
“Jack,” Robby whispers, trying to bite back the sobbing whine that actually wants to tear out of him.
Stroking his hair back, his thumb rubbing a circle into Robby’s temple, Jack whispers back, “I’m right here. You’re in good hands, you’re in my hands, babe. I got you.” A rough kiss pushes into Robby’s forehead, and Robby hiccups again. “You fucking— I love you, you— You goddamned idiot.”
“Sorry,” Robby mumbles upwards at him. “Thought it was better this way.”
“Nothing that hurts you is ever better,” Jack insists, with force. “Ever.”
or: robby hides his increasing realization that he has appendicitis— until he literally can't anymore, and he and jack are both forced to act.

Summary
Robby frowned and looked at Jack. "Is it me or are you now off Monday through Thursday?"
"Yeah, I figure we can drive out Tuesday morning and come back in time for my shift Friday night."
Robby's eyebrows rose in surprise. "Did someone invite you to the cabin I rented?" Jack tilted his head and just looked at Robby, silent and expectant. After a long moment, Robby huffed a resigned laugh, like he wondered why he even bothered protesting. "Jack, would you like to come hiking with me?"

Summary
After Gloria “persuaded” him to do interviews about his heroic work during the Pittfest, Dr. Robby became internet famous. And fame must be capitalized—“there’s this wonderful trend where public figures read thirst tweets…”
That was how Robby found himself in front of the camera reading thirst tweets about himself for charity.
————————————
Robby read the first tweet silently and felt his face immediately burst into flames.
“Out loud, Dr. Robinavitch,” Gloria reminded him.
Robby cleared his throat. “Okay. Um. This one says: ‘That doctor from PTMC can intubate me any time.’” His voice cracked on the last word.
The crowd behind the camera erupted. Santos was cackling. Someone whistled.
