An episodic story of a predator who falls in love with his prey.
Renfield finds work as a mortician's assistant following his release from a psychiatric hospital in New York, and his life very quickly changes forever. Featuring a budding relationship with a social worker, an intense cop with a secret soft side, and a mysterious boss who is either everything Robert has ever needed or his ultimate ruin.
Set in the 2010's. Renfield and Dracula are both human. While there are no vampires here, there will be plenty of blood. (Okay, there might be some vampires, but not real ones.)

Summary
Always, always did he pull Renfield back before he could lose him. Always did he pull Renfield back with a sort of bristling undertone. Selachian smile, or an exhaustible, unpleasant glower on his face. Nails in his skin. A smack. A strike. A punch. Tearing him open, or kissing him soft, sweet, with that awful, deadly mouth. None of it mattered. None of it had to matter. It all meant the same to Renfield.
The Master would not let him die. So Renfield lived. And if Renfield lived, then that meant Renfield had forgiven himself. And if Renfield could forgive himself, despite everything he'd done, everything he'd done, he would have to be capable of forgiving the Master.
He did forgive the Master. He always did. He always would.
Renfield attempts to establish a boundary or two with his Master. It doesn't go well.
