It didn’t work.
Ena scoffed, fumbling about with the fork for a couple seconds more before tossing it onto her plate. It clattered loudly against the ceramic, before bouncing off onto the table. Ena watched as it spun slightly, before eventually stilling in front of her.

Mizuki and Ena didn’t argue.
Sure, they bickered a lot. The pair could be seen teasing each other more often than not, dealing out harmless jabs that resulted in nothing more than a roll of the eyes or a middle finger thrown across the room. Their constant quarrels were nothing more than that, quarrels. Annoying, yes, but harmless.
Which only made Mizuki’s current situation worse.

Ena knew she had been pushing herself in all senses of the phrase, it had been observed in the small things at first; the way her hand could no longer stay steady as she held her drawing tablet’s pencil, the way that her eye bags were becoming more visible over the weeks, and how her appetite had been fickle if at all the last week. She had gone through around 2 boxes of tissues in the last few days, blowing her nose so often even Akito commented on it, although she wasn’t sure if it was concern or disgust.
Ena works herself into exhaustion and a cold, prompting Mizuki to take care of her.
