Summary
Peter’s gotten used to Gotham by now. The thousand little sounds that build up to the cacophony of a city in controlled chaos. But it isn’t home, and it never will be, and the more time passes, the more that thought makes him twitch. He’s frustrated by it, annoyed that he feels like he’s forcing his way through a world that doesn’t belong to him. Worse, the Soul Stone is starting to become more and more of an issue. As if it senses something coming.
Tony's last words had been 'the threat always comes back.' Thanos won't be thwarted forever, only delayed. Eventually, he's going to hunt down the stray Soul Stone that Peter holds.
The Bats have a few opinions on that. The Avengers that have fallen into this other world have a few of their own. And there's the problem of Dr. Strange's letter...

The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.
There's a flash of gold and green. For one moment, he finds himself standing amongst the Guardians and others. And then darkness again. It feels like blinking; an extended period of nothingness that ends as abruptly as it begins. One moment there’s nothing, the next there’s light.
“Easy,” a woman says. Her words are gentle, and carry a slight accent that he can’t place. "I'm called Wonder Woman. What's your name?"

Their thoughts, beliefs, and even lifestyles change quietly until the final result suddenly shows — and that’s when parents start complaining about how their child talks or looks different.
But if they weren’t present, who are they to judge?
Sure, some families are understanding, but no one’s perfect. And it’s not always the parents’ fault — there are always two sides to every story.

It was in the way his usual two eyes were blacker than before, extra heavy, and the notion of other eyes lurked heavy in the contour of his skin, out of the periphery of vision. Martin’s glasses were fogging up, but the condensation cleared every time Jon looked at him. Jon never smiled when he did this, but he always nodded to himself, as if there were something correct about Martin being there.

That’s… oddly vague, yet specific. One of his eyebrows shot up, eyes narrowing. He could get a gist of what it meant, but the healer didn’t understand it at the same time; why would it give them a medkit out of everything else to assist them, furthermore outside of rounds? All of their injuries would heal up upon returning to the cabin, everyone knows that. His mind couldn’t rack around what it could by implying here,
or maybe he didn’t want to.Or,
The spectre decides to ‘reward’ the survivors with something after a round, planting a seed of chaos in disguise. (This is how they find out they've all been doing the same thing; harming themselves in their own respective ways)
