Summary
Olivia asks Elliot to watch Noah when she can’t get away from work, but a rough case has left Elliot shaken.
There are ants crawling all over his too-tight skin. He wants to jump. He wants to run. He wants to slice his head open, pull out his brain, and scrub it vigorously with a steel wool.
Deep conversations ensue. Established EO set sometime ambiguously in the future. Doesn’t reference the canon of current seasons.

Summary
The moment Robby realized, he wanted to kick himself for not picking up on it sooner. It was glaringly obvious now that he had the terminology to describe his husband.
The way Jack was overly intense with eye contact, the way he never seemed to know where to put his hands when he wasn't holding something, the way he would ramble nonsense when he was nervous, his obsession with M*A*S*H and honeybees, his flat tone that came off as perpetually sarcastic.

Summary
Jack Abbot is a man excellent in a crisis.
Unequivocally, he’s the person you want around when shit goes wrong.
He thrives in it, thrives on the adrenaline and the uncertainty and the drama of it all. He’s level headed, he’s smart, he’s a reassuring presence throughout all of the shit.
He can solve every problem, and he’s kind and he's gentle.
He’s just… not good when it comes to… certain things.

Summary
Olivia looked at the burnt goldenrod. The goldenrod Elliot had planted just for her. Where beautiful yellow blooms had once been were now ashes in her hands.
“I didn’t do this,” she said to Cragen. “This wasn’t me.” She knelt down to touch the dust, let it silt through her hands. “Elliot,” she breathed out as she looked at him. “Elliot did this.”
“No,” said Cragen, shaking his head in denial. “No, that’s impossible. He’s alive and you’re dead. His actions can’t affect this place.” But he looked startled. He looked shaken. He looked like he was having an epiphany.
“Then explain it,” she cried out as she held up her fistful of ashes. “Explain this.”
He looked at her and his heart seemed to break. “Soulmates,” he finally said. “I think you’re soulmates.”
