A week after the Anuk-ite is trapped and Monroe flees from Beacon Hills, there’s nothing left to do for Theo, Liam, Mason, and Corey but to learn how to live normal lives again—as normal as supernaturally-aligned lives can get—which isn’t exactly made easier with the remnants of Monroe’s army still kicking up some dust.

Liam’s pulse kicked up. His skin felt too warm, too tight, like the air around him had thickened. He hated how exposed he felt under Theo’s gaze, like the man was reading him with ease, pulling apart things Liam didn’t want anyone touching.
Theo’s smirk returned, slow and knowing.
“Relax,” he said softly. “I’m not here to bite.”
A beat.
“Not unless you want me to.”
Slowly, a knowing smile spread across Theo’s lips, deliberate, confident, inviting.
