Summary
Yuji dies in the battle against Sukuna in Shinjuku. When he wakes up in the infirmary, he finds that he's in the past, before the events of the Culling Games, and the Shibuya Incident. Yuuji's head snapped up, his eyes wide with a horror that was more genuine than anything Megumi had seen from him all day. "What?"
"You heard me," Megumi said, his gaze unwavering. "If you're so scared of outliving me, then don't. Live with me. Fight with me. Laugh with me. Eat ramen with me. Love me. And when my time comes, you can die with me. Or you can live, and you can carry my memory with you. But don't you dare try to spare me by stealing all the years we have left. I won't let you."

"I knew it!" Yuji lets go of the rabbit to point at him in accusation. "There's no way you'd suddenly go back on your principles like that."
Megumi's thrown-in "knew what?" is a barely concealed show of his red-handedness. "What are you saying?" He replies gruffly, heart pounding through his entire body. Did Yuji really figure him out?
"You can feel what your shikigami feel, right?"
"No." Megumi disagrees out of spite, eyes to the rabbit once again like that isn't a telltale sign of him lying.

Whatever Megumi's shikigami feel, he feels. He tries to hide this fact from Yuji for as long as possible.

The screen door closing behind Megumi isn’t enough to muffle out Gojo’s last mused words.
“Movies like that aren’t much to guys like you and me, but everything to people like Yuji, huh?”
Megumi doesn’t even know the other half of the movie. He’s seen enough to know what it’s basically about.
