“Thank you so much for the help,” he says, pushing himself back up to stand. The young man follows along, still smiling like the kind of person who always sees the best in everything - or tries to, at least. Sometimes Chan wishes he could be like that, too.
“You’re very welcome,” the young man says, his warm brown eyes earning a golden sheen from the sunlight shining right into them. “Can I have your name?”
Perhaps foolishly, Chan says: “Oh, sure, it’s Chan.” He dips into a bow. “It’s nice to meet you.”
When he straightens back up, the young man is gone.
And so, Chris finds out half an hour later when he makes it to class, is his name.

“Cool,” Hyunjin says. This must be so easy for him, Jeongin thinks. See cute nerd, ask on date. Nerd says yes because he has nobody in his life other than extinct fish. “What if we meet about 11:00? A lunch date.”
A lunch date. A lunch… date? How has Jeongin just stumbled into a lunch date? With someone unreasonably hot? That he met through his tragically, cataclysmically dorky hobby? How has he charmed Hyunjin with caudal peduncles and anal fins?
Or: Jeongin is stupid into fish, and Hyunjin is stupid into Jeongin.

“Hyung,” Jeongin pleads. “You can’t post stuff like that.”
“But I wanted to,” Hyunjin says. “I thought my loving wife deserved a little present.”
What is that supposed to mean? There’s only one person who Hyunjin refers to as his wife. “Changbin-hyung?” Jeongin asks. “Why would he want that?”
Hyunjin bites his lip, grinning. He glances over his shoulder—he’s at home right now, Changbin could be within earshot. “You know,” he says.

Summary
“Hyung…” He starts, voice scratchy. “I’m in pre-heat.”
The silence afterwards is defeating. For a moment, Jeongin thinks the call might have disconnected, but when he looks down, the call is still going. He blinks a few times, watching as the seconds tick by. He hugs his tail tighter, suddenly feeling like he said something wrong.
He’s about to apologise and hang up when a snort finally cuts through, then a round of laughter. “Is that why you sound worse than usual?”
Jeongin groans against the sheets. “You’re not helping.”
“Do you want me to?” Jisung asks, hesitant yet so genuine that it has Jeongin sitting up so quickly his head spins.
Jeongin forgets to check his heat schedule. Lucky for him, the one and only Han Jisung is willing to step in. Except he's a vampire, and the one holding Jeongin's heart captive.

Summary
“What are we supposed to do for seven minutes?” He asks the first thing coming to his mind.
A look crosses Seungmin’s face before he curls his lips into a small smile. Jeongin can feel the flush on his face and prays that it’s not visible.
“Well, I think people usually do one thing in a game like this.” He doesn’t specify but they both know. He’s definitely imagining Seungmin’s eyes dropping to his lips for a second.
“Do you want to do that?” Jeongin asks, not believing his own boldness at the moment. If these were normal circumstances, he would never. But here in the dark, away from all the prying eyes of their friends, standing so close, he feels brave.
He can see the shock on Seungmin’s face.
“I don’t know Jeonginnie, do you want to kiss me?” The nickname makes him shiver all over again. He usually lets only the closest to him call him that, but he finds that he doesn’t mind how it sounds coming out of Seungmin’s mouth.
or Jeongin meets Seungmin for the first time and is unable to get him out of his head (at least they can be friends, right?)
