Summary
Jax hadn’t really thought about sex much since entering the Circus.
Really, he didn’t.
Something about the entire atmosphere of the place just killed any horny energy in him. Like turning a light switch on and off. There was just a certain dread that came with an existential prison that made the notion seem unsavory.
And then, Pomni showed up.

Summary
Everything was chlorine-scented, neon blue and glimmering. He was distantly aware he was grinning down at Andy like an idiot– but Andy was wearing that easy, sweet smile of his, so maybe Joe wasn’t so wrong to feel as giddy as he did. The other man reached up to hold his chin gently, and Joe’s heart picked up– Yeah, he wanted to be kissed, right here by the poolside, wanted the chill that was settling into his wet body kissed right out of him. He wanted to taste the chlorine that had seeped into Andy’s skin.

A late night at the public pool. Joe has Andy all to himself, at least for this moment.

Summary
At first Pete thinks he’s fallen asleep and this is just a dream; the world is misty around the edges, a vignette, camera flash in the middle. His eyes are sore and red. But then he reconsiders, if this was a dream, I think I would be kinder to myself. I would change the ending.
“I have a good feeling about this one”, Patrick eventually says without looking at him or the mixing board; instead, instead he just gazes up into the empty space in front of him. Pete can’t help but follow him, both by silently agreeing and by letting his eyes drift to that empty space as well, to limitless potential and the future, to music and friendship — and love, in all its magnitude.
