Summary
“Don’t knock sex and security. Almost everyone wants that.” Eddie said.
“Almost everyone?”
“Well, asexuals exist, Buck.”
For some reason that makes Buck laugh.
“What?”
“Just wasn’t expecting asexual rep in your pep talk.”
“I did a little reading about LGBTQ stuff. To, y’know, be supportive and try not to say anything stupid.”
“For me?” Buck sat back so he could meet his eyes.
“Well, yeah.”
“Hen’s gay though.”
“So? She’s a lesbian. It’s kind of more obvious to know how not to be a dick about that. A bisexual best friend is a bit more complicated. I didn’t want to fuck up.”
-OR-
Eddie needs to stop his chaotic efforts to cheer Buck up after his breakup with Tommy, and focus on repairing his relationship with Christopher. It's time. That should be the only thing he is focusing on, but a weird moment at the airport and a drunk voicemail from Buck give Eddie a whole new problem: how to act normal around Buck.
Everything will get back to normal eventually, right?Bookmarked by bobcat86

Summary
“I thought you were ready to start dating,” Bobby says, which. Eddie doesn’t think that’s remotely close to the point.
“Yeah, Eddie,” Buck echoes, all narrowed eyes and petulance, aggressively attempting to spear a tomato on his plate while maintaining eye contact.
“I…I don’t think the blind dates were really working out.”
“So you’re trying to get out of your aunt’s setups, again. And this is what you’re going with?” Hen says, eyebrows raised.
“I did not say that. I hadn’t even thought about telling Pepa I’m seeing Felisa, to be honest.” But isn’t that a thought. “I just thought a break would be nice, you know? I can find someone at my own pace, organically.”
A chorus of protests and objections, to the tune of “how are you going to meet someone organically when everybody thinks you’re dating someone else," breaks out across the table.
“Oh, he’s gonna find someone organically, alright,” Chimney interrupts. “Obviously, he’s gonna fall in love with Felisa.”
Buck promptly begins to choke on his salad.
Or: Eddie pretends to date Felisa Valdez, a normal thing to do, for normal reasons. Buck acts normal about it.

Summary
He takes Buck's hand, like he has the right, and sees the evidence of Buck's devotion, a love letter written in blood, etched into every fingertip in a fit of desperation, and Eddie is overwhelmed with his love.
The dam that broke as he fought for air no longer exists, and he doesn't know how to exist without shouting wordlessly about his love for Buck with every fiber of his being, with every word he says, every touch, every look, every breath.
He knows he should be worried, he should try to hide it better, because he cannot risk it, cannot risk destroying what they have, but he is too tired, too woozy, too hurt.
So he holds Buck’s hand, and looks into his eyes, that hold all the light of his existence. It feels like standing in the light of his personal sun, wrapped in its warmth.
