James is starting to wonder if his friends' pain is something more than a bad fight, and if he might need to help.
Sirius is wondering what is going on.Here's the real question: is this love worth salvaging and how does one start trying?

He opens his eyes and looks across the table to find Remus Lupin gazing at him, golden eyes observing carefully. Sirius gets lost in them for a moment, forgetting where he is, what time it is, who’s sat next to him. They haven’t held eye contact in a long time, and Sirius feels like he’s drowning. The only thing keeping him afloat is that Remus’s eyes are not sending hatred, or anger, or even sadness like they did before. He’s simply watching, an air of curiosity in the tilt of his eyebrow and a bitter sense of amusement in the pinch of his lips.

He was scared of what his secrets becoming, well, not secrets, would mean for him. One day, faced with the mischievous questions of Sirius Black and curious friends, he decides show a new side.

“Okay, okay, I have a question for our dearest Moony…” he says in a low, salacious, voice. The group quiets slightly, anticipation building in the air. Remus is rather notorious for never picking truth, also for his grandpa sweaters even during the summers. This game was built as an antonym to Remus Lupin, and everyone wants to know how this’ll turn out.
“Sirius…” Remus is entirely unsure what plot he is the unwitting victim of, but if Sirius Black and Games mean anything, it’s that Remus will have to make some interesting decisions.

He remembered thinking, praying almost, that if Remus died, his heart would stop pumping blood. It would stop because Remus is what kept it going, Remus is what kept his lungs breathing and his world spinning. If Remus died, so would he. He remembered thinking there was not a world in which he would not follow Remus to the ends of the earth and beyond.

This is just a bunch of headcanons I strung together, because I've always kind of liked how tragic it would be if when Sirius escaped, he came back to an entirely different Remus. One he barely knew. So this is just kind of, who was the Remus he knew before?

Flustered and cornered, Shane injects his Captain Voice into the conversation. “Ma’am, I understand that you’re upset, but I paid for this seat and am going to stay here. You’ll have to find someone else willing to change places or just fly with the seat you booked. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you.”
She hisses like a goddamn tea kettle, and starts to say, “You are the most selfish man I’ve ever—” when another voice behind her says, “You are blocking my seat. Move.”
Shane and the woman turn to assess the new arrival. It turns out that his seat partner is well above six feet tall, ripped as hell, and knows how to deliver an excellent bitch face. He’s also the hottest man that Shane has ever seen in real life, including a chance run-in with Jensen Ackles at a Stars game.
Or, still!famous Shane meets non!famous Ilya on a cursed flight from Ottawa to Boston and kind of (totally) falls in love with him at first sight (and first chirp)
