Summary
As Shez knocked on the door, it creaked, jarring slightly. They frowned. Claude would never leave his bedroom unlocked. Dread crept up the back of their throat. They pushed the door wide open, bracing themself for whatever sight awaited them.
“Claude?” Shez’s heart dropped to their stomach. “Claude!”
There he lay, face down a scant few steps from the entrance, still fully dressed in his armor and battle-worn clothes. Motionless. His cape fanned forward, exposing its golden lining over his head. From underneath it, his right arm stretched out, as if still reaching for something.
During their final battle, The Immaculate One places a curse on Claude.
