As if Robby wouldn’t do anything to make Dennis happy. The colouring on Robby’s cheekbones is part indignation, part guilty pleasure, when Dennis pops the viagra on his own tongue.
Dennis leans in to kiss him, and, like a celestial body, Robby can’t help but lean in too.”

“Yeah, kinda.” Daniel grumbled, because it was. The rough fibre of the rope at his wrists. The pressure. His skin was already pink, irritated. It made his heart beat a little faster. Armand met his eyes, the colour of his irises a sickly sweet tangerine— though they were barely visible. His pupils were engorged; fat, black discs rolling like rocks in his head.
A beat.
“Is it uncomfortable enough for you?” Armand rephrased.

Daniel stays.
Which leads to now. Daniel’s hands, shaking where they grip the ballpoint pen. In the spare bedroom. In Dubai. Where he’s been. For two full days. Ever since Louis left him.

Dirt and grass press against my lips as my chest slams into the ground. Hands, many hands are pressing down on my back, my legs, my neck. They are rough and uncaring as I scream at them. “Don’t do this!” I don’t want to go. I don’t want to die. They are murdering me. A stabbing pain shoots into the back of my neck and all I can feel is my body turn heavy. My arms stop struggling and my feet go numb. I can barely keep my eyes open as my body shuts down, but the fear never stops. I can hear someone talking over me. It doesn’t reach my ears.
“-Grace! Grace wake up! Grace Rocky here! Rocky’s sorry!”

“Grace?"
Grace shakes his head, bringing himself back into the moment. “Sorry, Rock. What’d you say?”
“What Grace want for birthday,” Rocky repeats himself, tone more insistent this time.
“Y’know,” Grace says, deciding an unrealistic idea is better than no idea at all, “I think I want a hug from my best friend. If you can figure that one out, you’ll never have to get me another birthday gift again.”
“Rocky will continue to get Grace gifts anyway.” Grace flushes at the declaration, which he does not want to address. Rocky is quiet for a moment after, tapping his claws on the ground in thought. And before Grace can tell him he was just joking, don’t worry about it, just make him some xenonite barbells so he doesn’t lose these muscles so fast, Rocky is perking up and skittering to leave the room again. “Rocky know how to get Grace gift! Will take some time. Late gift. Will make up for it next Earth year.”
(Or, the one where Rocky's birthday present to Grace ends up getting a little out of hand.)
