I like the sequel trilogy. But what if it was good? Like, really good?
This is something that's been spinning around in my head for about 4 years now. It started with a frustrated confusion over the setting of the trilogy. In the original films the bad guys are the established power and the good guys are the small group of scrappy rebels. Now, 30 years later, the Empire has been defeated and our heroes have triumphed yet...the bad guys remain the established power and the good guys remain a small group of scrappy rebels. What gives? How did this happen? How is this satisfying? So I started from the ground up. What would realistically happen after Return of the Jedi, and how can I make it narratively interesting? What spawned was a treatment-style story re-imagining the world of the sequels, correcting missteps, and trying to come up with a satisfying story.
I understand that having placed myself on this mountainous horse I now have quite the distance to fall, but I hope I can get this right and make something that people can love. With all that said, this is still a developing idea so constructive feedback is appreciated! (I also have a day job so I won't be able to update frequently but what else is new)

Haven’t read it and don’t want to? Here’s a summary:
Just Like Her (canon-compliant-ish) has Judy at the Samurai gig at Red Dirt, enjoying a few drinks with a work friend. Hoping – once she knew Kerry Eurodyne was playing – that V might be there, but certainly not expecting to see Johnny.
She has a lot going on in the fic: pent up earlier in the day which leads to some poorly-timed sexual fantasies at the gig, through to jealousy when she sees women being physical with V after the show.
When V finds her – Johnny long gone – Judy is very pleased to see her. Which leads us to this fic.
