Summary
When Eddie was a kid, he worked out that God could hear his thoughts. Even if he didn’t ask for candy or a toy truck out loud, God still knew what he wanted. God could read the inside of his brain. He knew what Eddie was going to do as soon as he thought it. God knew everything.
So Eddie decided to know nothing.
Or, Eddie helps Buck parent Theo, and is absolutely fine and normal about it.

Summary
Now that he has one, Buck has realized that he’s never had a best friend before. Not until Eddie. Naturally, he gets a little weird about the whole thing. But who can blame him really? He’s never done this before.
Buck (Work): come over
Eddie Diaz: Can’t, I’m busy.
Buck (Work): do you hate me
Eddie Diaz: No
Buck (Work): why do you hate me
Buck (Work): why do youh ate me
Eddie Diaz: I don’t hate you
Buck (Work): whatever
Eddie Diaz: I’ll come over after.
Buck (Work): yay :)
Or, for years, Buck has jokingly texted Eddie like a crazy possessive girlfriend and he's never actually meant it, so why does it feel so real when Eddie starts to spend time with Tommy?

Summary
Buck stares at the man in the brown jacket with a flower in his pocket for three entire minutes and, impossibly, the man is still Eddie Diaz. Eddie Diaz, his best friend, his straight best friend, is sitting at a table, at the cafe Buck is supposed to meet his blind date at, wearing the brown jacket with a flower in his pocket that his blind date is supposed to be wearing and it’s just not making a lot of sense.
Or, Buck goes on a blind date. Impossibly, so does Eddie.

Summary
“Hey,” Buck says, in the hospital room after it’s all over. “Just so you know, I’m in love with you.”
His voice is raspy, his smile a little self-deprecating. His eyes, when Eddie stares at him in surprise, are steady and blue. He doesn't sound like he’s blurting something out, or getting something off his chest, or confessing something he’s embarrassed of. He just sounds like he’s telling Eddie about the weather, something mundane. The sun is hot in the sky, they’re in New Mexico, and Buck is, apparently, in love with him.
Buck confesses to Eddie after the kidnapping. Eddie, in a fit of madness, accepts his confession. It'll be fine - just because Eddie isn't in love with Buck, doesn't mean he can't be his boyfriend.
