His suspect had become almost a certainty when the nausea came back the morning after: on Christmas Eve he found himself walking to a pharmacy to buy a bunch of pregnancy tests, his mind filled with the memories of the last edition of the Games, of a quiet, intimate moment in a bathroom stall, of gentle hands caressing his hair, his chest, his hips, of lips kissing him senseless, the citrous scent of an alpha barely discernible under the scent blockers. A brief moment of passion that shouldn't have mattered: just letting out some steam and adrenaline before attempting to subvert the system, whispered promises between them that had no real meaning from his part, the pleasure of being fucked against a wall and, for a moment, forget who he was and what he was going to do.

Gi-hun’s face is carefully blank. In-ho finds himself wondering when he learned how to do that. He hopes Gi-hun copied it from him.
“Don’t move.” Gi-hun says. And then he takes the knife and slices it clean through In-ho’s shirt.
Gi-hun kills the baby. This changes things.

It wasn’t easy, really. The healing thing. Gi-hun worked hard for it, and he was finally starting to feel better. He could finally let go of his past and fulfill the promise he had made Ga-yeong far too long ago.
But when past mistakes threatened to resurface, suppressed memories crashed into Gi-hun like a truck driving at full speed, awakening emotions he never thought he’d feel again.
A fic in which Jun-ho’s timing was on the right side of history for once. Gi-hun survived the last game and finally got the chance to heal, only for one walk in the park to ruin it all.

After Gi-hun emerges victorious in his little hero game, In-ho faces a long trial, during which he is locked behind bars awaiting a possible death sentence. Gi-hun would like to forget him and move on, but finds himself unable to do so and keeps coming back to him, trying to unravel the man and his feelings for him. He's an addict by his nature, and he doesn't seem to realise that he's just got himself a new addiction.

Summary
Right after shooting Jung-Bae, In- Ho starts dealing with conflicting emotions over his actions and the events that took place during the last few days. This ends up making In-Ho go trough the painful process of unburrying all of his past beliefs and trauma, in an attempt to find out who he really is, beneath the persona that he had hid behind all these years.

Seong Gi-hun is deep in debt that he can't pay off on his own, so he doesn't find it in himself to turn down a rather mysterious offer to spend a week with a man who is willing to pay generously for his time. He takes the risk, and then does it again and again while In-ho watches and teases him. As the vampire sinks his fangs into the man's neck, he thinks he is the one in control, completely oblivious to the rope rapidly wrapping around his own neck. Luckily for him, Gi-hun himself doesn't know that he's the one holding the other end of his leash.

In-ho let the question sink in. He didn't know why he helped. He knew he didn't want this man to die because of his debt, as so many others had. He shouldn't have interjected, but he did. This man was probably going to die soon regardless of In-ho's efforts, so why help at all?
One year after winning his games and losing everything that mattered, In-ho doesn’t know why he chose to help a stranger in debt. After that night, he doesn’t know why this new love isn’t enough to keep him from returning to the place that broke him.
