“Throw ‘em into the loony bin, I would,” Uncle Vernon snarled, his voice rising. “What kind of person burns themself alive? A bunch of freaks, I say,” he grunted tersely.
“Oh, Vernon,” Aunt Petunia whispered. Her voice was trembling as she murmured, “There’s been nearly thirty reports. Thirty reports of people dying horribly. Should we be concerned?”
“Of course not!” Uncle Vernon barked. Multiple rough laughs escaped him. “There’s no need to worry. Privet Drive doesn’t have any freaks. There’s only one.”
The world then became overrun by vampires.
