Kaveh laughs into his ear, cocky and teasing. “I didn’t know I had such an effect on you, Haitham,”
“You know very well what you do to me,” Alhaitham growls, voice low. “Such a brat. A spoiled one at that. Do I need to teach you a lesson again, senior?”

“What the fuck?”
“I don’t know.”
Two large, fluffy ears sat on top of Alhaitham’s head, in the same colour as his hair but dotted with black spots. And, peeking out from the hem of his sweatpants was the tip of a thick, furry, grey… tail.
“What the fuck?”“I don’t know,” Alhaitham repeated, crossing his arms. “Such exclamations aren’t specifically helpful to my situation.”
Even in the dimness of the too-early morning, it was clear that his newly-acquired ears flattened in distress as he spoke, much like those of a kitten.

Holy shit? Holy shit. There were two Alhaithams, and they are staring each other down as Kaveh lay dumbly on the sheets, spread open like the meat on a food bowl that two dogs were fighting over.
