Summary
Jean's mouth is bright red. The alleyway shadows cut across her features in a way that is sharp and menacing, and the shiver that runs down Ororo's spine as a result is equal parts unwelcome and unsettling. Her eyes, blackened and hungry, are fixed upon the bite. Jean's tongue runs over her bloodied lips deliberately. Ororo is almost too stunned to speak, but she shakes her head to free herself from her stupor.
"Jean! You cannot bite our enemies!"
Everything’s the same, except Jean is a vampire.

Summary
“What if we practiced?” It slips out before Jean can really think about the gravity of the question. The warm flush that had begun to creep from her ears now bursts along her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, the burn of embarrassment intensifying with each millisecond of silence that passes.
“You know, so if you ever meet a cute guy you won’t have to be nervous about what to do if he kisses you.” She waves her hand dismissively and forces out a laugh. “And you’ll be ready for that ‘someone’ you want to kiss."
Ororo considers her for a beat more, then says, “Okay.”

There’s a sharp blow to his face, the blunt force adding yet another crook to his nose. He stumbles backward, dizzy, and falls on his ass. Roy shakes the fog from his vision and smears the blood seeping from his nostrils against the back of his hand. He licks his lips, swallows his own blood, and grins.
“C’mon, baby,” his smile is bloodied and borderline insane. “You can hit me harder than that.”
Haven't you heard? Fighting is the greatest form of foreplay. At least, that’s what Roy and Jade said.

Jean blows hot air out of her nose. Her fingers curl around the steering wheel until her knuckles are alabaster. Green eyes flutter shut as she takes a deep breath, then they are fixed upon Ororo, intense and unwavering as she says:

As Mel surveys the chaotic scene, it occurs to her then that she doesn’t actually know what the mercenary looks like. All the soldier had to offer her was a vague description: a black eyepatch and tattoos. There must be thousands of Noxian soldiers and mercenaries alike that fit that exact description. Mel sighs internally. At least she has a name—

She possessed an eerie pallor that contrasted starkly with bone-straight, jet black hair. Any passersby would take her for a Noxian elite, what with her expensive furs and fabrics, but the unmistakable silver lines painted over her eyes told Mel everything.
“What do you want, deceiver?”

Eyes puffy, bloodshot, and smeared with black makeup but a vibrant green all the same, not a single strand of dark hair out of place, and tan skin glowing with a hint of sparkling highlighter. The resemblance is uncanny. But it’s not the near-identical features that spark that sense of familiarity. It’s the invisible veil that drapes itself along her features to mask the truth of what she’s feeling; the subconscious gnawing on the corner of her lip as she determines the best way to react; the fingers that absentmindedly toy with the nearest piece of jewelry (currently, twisting the ring on her finger).
