Galadriel's mouth opens then closes.
She may have thought of him, the Dark Lord, on his knees in front of her; equal parts exciting and terrifying. The perfect imperious slope of his profile, the dismissive turn to his lips. How it had all softened when his head met her middle.
A guilty tendril curls through her. She swallows it down, and finds her voice. "I have done no such thing."

When Sauron stabs Galadriel above Eregion he unknowingly opens a rift in their minds that will haunt the two of them through the second and third age and on, until the end of the world.

Summary
Freed after three ages in chains, Melkor returns to Valinor cloaked in false penitence, sowing discord among the Noldor. Yet as his gaze falls upon Lady Artanis - not yet Galadriel - his hunger for light stretches beyond the Silmarils.
His plan is set: destroy the Two Trees, steal the Silmarils, and take her with them.
